Diving Packages and Liveaboards in the Solomon Islands.

      The Solomon Islands are an archipelago in the West Pacific, some 1,500 km off the coast of North Eastern Australia. The main islands are Gizo, Auki, Kirakira and Guadalcanal, which was the theater of one of the bloodiest battle of the World War II.
     Landscapes are made of mountainous islands under monsoon season, giving the drier time of the year between May and October.
     Independent since 1978, the Solomon Islands are still part of the Commonwealth as a former British colony.


     Due to its history during WW II, the Solomon islands are also rich in ship wrecks and vestiges from this period and it is not rare to come across a Japanese tank or truck during a hike in the country side.
     The under water world offers extremely clear water, wrecks and an incredibly rich marine life, from the tiny reef creatures such a colorful nudibranches to the pelagics like Barracudas, sharks, tunas and schools or a variety of tropical fishes swirling around the stunned divers.

Diving Packages on the Island of Gizo

     The island of Gizo is one of the main island of the archipelago and is a magnificent natural wonder, with beautiful landscapes and amazingly clear water. Divers will be delighted by the dive sites there and certainly one of the major attraction of the place is the sunken Japanese transport ship "Tao Maru", hit by American bombs in 1943.
     She rests, leaning on her side in 39 (130 feet) meters of water, with accessible structures at 12 meters (40 feet).

     We propose on Gizo, the following land based diving packages inclusive of: Accommodation in air conditioned units at the Gizo Hotel air conditioned or in fanned rooms.
